Every site we build is delivered with a score of at least 80 on Google PageSpeed, measured on mobile. In practice, most score above 90.
Plenty of people promise a “fast site”. We make it specific and measurable: the 80+ is written into the contract, and you can check it yourself, at any time.
We guarantee that the site will have a Performance score of 80 or above in Google PageSpeed Insights, in the mobile test, at the moment of delivery. We check it on the homepage and on one page of each main type on your site: service, article, product or booking, depending on what it includes.
Where we check it
We use the mobile test because that is where the bar is higher. PageSpeed Insights runs the test by simulating a device and a connection with limited resources, which is why the mobile score is usually lower than the desktop one. We commit to the more demanding of the two.
A PageSpeed score can shift slightly from one test to the next. So we don’t rely on a single test; we follow a fixed procedure:

Five consecutive tests per page. We keep the median, the middle value, not the best one.
We test at delivery, with the final content in place.
We send you the results, and you can repeat them yourself.
We fix it at no extra charge, before delivery is closed.
We don’t consider the project complete until every page we test passes the threshold.
The guarantee covers the site as we deliver it. If features or tools that affect speed are added after delivery, the score may change. Specifically, the guarantee does not cover:
Before you add anything that might affect speed, we can check its impact and, where possible, suggest a lighter option.
The sites we build on our own CMS usually score above 90. 80 is the minimum we write into the contract, not our target.

If you already have a site, open PageSpeed Insights, enter your address and look at the mobile score. If it is below 50, there is serious room for improvement. If it is between 50 and 80, it is worth finding out exactly what is weighing it down.
If you are starting a new site, ask whoever is building it to commit to its speed with a specific, measurable target. And if they promise it will be fast, ask them to put it in the contract.
